Terms of Service
The rules for using 898tele: who runs it, how numbers are ordered and paid for, and what we do not promise. Refunds have their own page.
Last updated: 15 October 2026.
1. Who operates the service
The Service is operated by Beta company sp. z o.o. (“Beta company”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością (limited liability company) organised under Polish law. “The Service” means the 898tele website, the customer cabinet where numbers are ordered and paid for, and the numbers and messages delivered through them.
By placing an order or creating an account you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You can reach us at [email protected]; we work from 08:00 to 20:00 Berlin time.
2. What the Service is
- We rent virtual phone numbers, issued by carriers in the country each number belongs to, for receiving SMS: either by the month, or as one-time numbers that take a single code and are then deleted.
- Most lines receive SMS only. A line that also takes calls is marked as such on its country page; the Service is not a calling service.
- The catalogue, the prices and what is available change. The country page and the order page show what can be bought at the moment you order.
- We allocate a number from our existing inventory and cannot supply a specific number on request.
- We sell numbers, not accounts. The account on a platform is yours to create, and what a platform later does with it is decided by the platform, not by us.
3. Ordering, balance and payment
- Orders, payments and the management of your numbers happen in the customer cabinet. The Service is prepaid from your balance.
- A rental has a setup fee, charged the first time you rent a number in a country, and a monthly fee. Prices are shown in US dollars; the amount you pay is the amount shown when you order.
- You can pay by card, in cryptocurrency (USDT, BTC) or by bank transfer, as described on the payments page. A payment is credited to your balance once it is confirmed.
- A rented number stays yours for the period you have paid for. When you stop renewing it, the number returns to the pool and may be issued to someone else.
- Refunds and replacements are governed by the refund policy.
4. Documents and local rules
Some lines require identity or company documents under the rules of the country concerned; such lines are marked on the country page. Activation of a line that needs documents takes 1–2 business days, rarely up to 5. You must provide accurate documents when they are asked for. A number must be used in accordance with the law of the country where it is registered and of the country where you are.
5. Your responsibilities
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You use the Service lawfully: no fraud, spam, harassment, infringement of other people’s rights or harmful content.
- You are responsible for everything done with the numbers on your account, including by anyone you give access to.
- You may not transfer your account or numbers to a third party without our written permission.
- You tell us promptly about any problem, with the details we need to look into it (the refund policy says what a request must contain).
- You are responsible for checking that using the Service is lawful where you live.
6. What we do not promise
- We aim for stable service but do not promise that it is uninterrupted or error-free.
- We do not promise that a message from a particular platform or operator will arrive. What we are responsible for is a line that works and receives messages; if a platform’s own rules stop a message, that is outside our control.
- We do not promise anything about an account you register with a number. Whether a platform accepts, restricts or deletes it is the platform’s decision.
- The Service gives no access to emergency numbers.
- We may replace a number, without charge, if a change in law or a technical problem outside our control requires it, and we will tell you as soon as we can.
7. Suspension and ending
We may suspend or end the Service, without a refund, if you breach these Terms, provide false or incomplete documents, or we reasonably suspect that your account is used for illegal activity. You may stop using the Service at any time by not renewing.
8. Personal data
How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. We may disclose information to carriers where a line requires it, and to authorities where the law requires it.
9. Liability
To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or loss of data arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service, or for any consequence of using a number contrary to the law that applies to you. We are not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including failures of third-party carriers and telecom networks, power or internet outages, sanctions and acts of government. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Intellectual property
Each party keeps its own intellectual property rights. You may not use the 898tele name, trademarks or materials without our written consent.
11. Changes
We may change these Terms. The version on this page is the current one, and continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it. Prices are those in the catalogue at the time you order.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Poland and the European Union. This does not take away any mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
